Thunberg fires back after Trump's 'anger management problem' jibe

Oct 08, 2025

Copenhagen [Denmark], October 8: Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has traded fresh barbs with US President Donald Trump after he accused her of having an "anger management problem" and suggested she should see a doctor.
"I hear Donald Trump has once again expressed his flattering opinions on my character, and I appreciate his concern for my mental health," the 22-year-old wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
"I would kindly receive any recommendations you might have to deal with these so-called 'anger management problems,' since - judging by your impressive track record - you seem to be suffering from them too."
Trump had called Thunberg "angry," "crazy" and a "troublemaker." "She has an anger management problem. I think she should see a doctor," Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday. Trump made the comments in response to a question about Israel's detention and deportation of dozens of Gaza aid activists.
The group, travelling on private boats and motor vessels carrying supplies to the Gaza Strip, was intercepted by Israeli forces last week as they tried to breach Israel's naval blockade of the war-devastated Palestinian territory. Thunberg, who rose to global prominence by initiating the "Fridays for Future" climate strikes at the age of 15 in 2018, and other members of the Global Sumud Flotilla were flown to Greece on Monday after being detained.
