Hanoi [Vietnam], August 28: Fourteen years after finishing as runner-up in 'The Voice Vietnam', Le Xuan Nghi is trying her hand at new directions. She still maintains a close relationship with her mentor, singer Dam Vinh Hung.
Singer Le Xuan Nghi has just released the music video "Bringing the Vietnamese Soul Everywhere," a song she composed herself. This product is the result of many years of planning and experimentation with motivational music, with the desire to further inspire and spread the essence of Vietnamese culture and character, on the occasion of September 2nd.
"Bringing the Vietnamese Spirit Everywhere " is a project by Le Xuan Nghi that began in early July 2026. The creative idea came from simple, heartwarming stories about the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working abroad that she has encountered. Dam Vinh Hung's protege said: "I realized that even when Vietnamese people are far away, they always find ways to preserve the essence of their nation and proudly introduce it to international friends in many ways."
The runner-up of The Voice Vietnam 2012 wants to challenge herself in both songwriting and performance, breaking free from the comfort zone of pop and ballad styles that she has established in the public's mind over the years. The singer shared: "I decided to perform the song myself because I wanted to add a truly fresh and inspiring song to my repertoire, one that resonates with today's audience."
Le Xuan Nghi wins second place after 14 years.
Le Xuan Nghi graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts. She has achieved high rankings in various competitions, most notably as the runner-up in The Voice Vietnam 2012. Sharing with us, Le Xuan Nghi said that this was a stepping stone for her to embark on a professional singing career, and also helped her gain more recognition.
"I've been working in this profession for the past 14 years, even though I also run a business. I've always wanted to use my singing to serve the audience who have loved and supported me," she said.
Le Xuan Nghi recounts that in the beginning, when she pursued her passion for singing, she always thought she could only perform pop music. But after some experience, she realized that singing multiple genres is a great advantage for accessing different types of stages.
"I've always wanted to bring the spirit of young Vietnamese people wherever I go, so I started trying my hand at motivational music, which is also a long-term direction alongside pop music. Because for an artist, standing on stage and singing about the country and people of Vietnam is always a source of pride," she confided.
When asked about her relationship with Dam Vinh Hung 14 years after their appearance on The Voice Vietnam , Le Xuan Nghi revealed that she was among the first students of the "Xin Loi Tinh Yeu" singer in the music program. "To this day, we still keep in touch, and when there are suitable events, my mentor still invites me to participate. That's a great joy for me," the female singer confided.
Le Xuan Nghi further revealed that whenever she has a new project, she usually sends it to her mentor for feedback. She said: "Usually, I will finish the project and send it to my mentor for review. Because I also want to find my own production direction for my products, and then listen to feedback from seniors to find things that need improvement in subsequent products."
